Temperament:  I am a beautiful boy who is NOT cat or small-dog friendly!  My foster folks tell me that I can be hard-headed at times.  I really just know what I want to do and when I want to do it.  I am very affectionate; I love to be petted and get belly rubs. Once in a while I try to climb into the chair with my person, I stop when they firmly tell me to leave them alone or ignore my cute little antics.  I do like my foster greyhound siblings, but I also want them to leave my toys alone when I am playing with them.  One of my favorite things to do is play fetch with a big squeaky tennis ball. I even bring it back and give it to my person who threw it.  Take a look at my photo on the right of the page... you can see that I love that ball so much, I sometimes fall asleep with it!

I love to eat, so occasionally I will counter cruise or table surf.  Once again though, I stop when my human family tells me to.  I am strong and energetic at everything I do.  I love to go for walks and most of the time I am very good, although every now and then I forget I’m supposed to be walking and I try to take off!  Therefore, I would be happiest in an adult family or at least a family where the adults will take me for my walks, since I would easily overpower any kid.

I’ll make a fun, affectionate and entertaining companion for the right family, and by the way, I'm the son of Betty DeCandia and littermate of Chance White & Sunny Goshee, all placed by GREAT!

Temperament: Cat-friendly.  Niko is a former pet originally adopted from Humane Society of Pinellas.  He has been turned in to GREAT due to his family's cross-country relocation.  He has settled into foster care beautifully and enjoys meeting other dogs on his walks through the neighborhood.  He sleeps all night on a doggie bed in his foster mom's bedroom, is very outgoing and affectionate and loves to play with toys.  In fact, when his foster mom has been out of the house and returns, he celebrates by throwing his toys up in the air and running through the house!  He was a bit thin upon coming into foster care, so we are working on putting a few pounds on him.  Fortunately, he enjoys his meals, and likes treats even better!  Niko is a sweet, good-natured dog that would make a wonderful pet for the right family!

Temperament: Cat Friendly. This little beauty arrived in foster care just a few days before her 9th birthday!  Sammy is a wonderfully sweet little girl, with beautiful big sad eyes that will make you feel like you really must make amends, even though you haven't done anything!  She's so quiet that we forget that she is here, and she gets along well with other greyhounds, other breeds, and cats. Sammy came to us quite shy, but her personality has emerged while in foster care and she's now affectionate and happy, and she greatly enjoys romping around with her foster brother.  She even went to a public event recently and while she was a little uncertain at first, she soon warmed up and started enjoying all of the attention she was receiving!  She's just a little sweetheart, and it won't take her long to work her way into the hearts of her forever family!

Temperament: Hi!  I am Ruby - a sweet, petite, and sleek running machine.  I love to do laps in the yard!  I am returned pet looking for my new forever home.  I am highly competitive so it would be best if I am an only pet.  I love attention but also like my independence.  I am very smart - I know how to sit, stay, lie down, fetch, and shake your hand with my front left paw! I walk well on leash.  I sleep through the night and like nothing better to sleep in with my owners on the weekend.  My main passion is spending time with my owner & greeting the neighbors.   I will make a loving and playful addition to the right home.

Temperament: Cat Friendly. This handsome young man would love to play and run with other dogs, but since he doesn't have the opportunity to do so in his current foster home, he loves to go for walks where he can meet and greet other dogs and people too. He is learning to walk well on leash and loves to ride in the car. When he is not going out, eating or having his head scratched, he loves to find a comfortable spot to snooze. He has wonderful house manners even as an only pet, and is a well-behaved boy who will be a wonderful companion for his forever family.
